Our motel room was raided by French police last night, apparently provoked by scurrilous charges yesterday by Floyd Landis. His comments yesterday were a pathetic attempt to deflect attention from his own problems.

It took us hours to restore order to our room, and of course the foolish French found nothing. They have not heard the end of this; we will have much more to say soon. Needless to say we are innocent of anything except being Americans.
