Vote for your favorite rider

We are concerned about complacency. We have had some wonderful comments, especially those of you who did literary research to send us inspirational and amusing works. But we feel that our audience is begining to take for granted our heroic exploits, and that some taudry controversy is needed to spice up our ratings. We have considered a contrived feud, political commentary, and even working in reports of supranatural experiences. Rise up, dear readers; we will be finished before you know it, and you will regret your complacency too late.

We offer this solution: vote for your favorite rider. We can't tell you the outcome. It may be that the rider with the fewest votes is forced out of the ride. It may be that the rider with the most votes gets to leave the ride. You can vote as many times as you like; the only rule is that each vote costs 99 cents. Send a check or money order made payable to "Jeff Shopoff" for however many votes you want to cast. We will take care of the rest.

Comments:
NO WAY!!!! You are all heroes to me and I don't like to "play favorites". I have much appreciated the travelogue and pictures and it's very good to know you've made the "home stretch" relatively sound of mind and body. Even my Mom asks for a verbal up-date everyday! Love to all - Jan

You are all terrific, athletic, handsome, talented, and brainy but I have taken up a collection to cast 1,132,798 votes for David. The check is in the mail.

Gosh, our kids might have to give up their college dreams to get Bill ahead of David.

I left a penny in one of the bike bags. I know my pick will find it and get my vote. He will then win the competition one to nothing.

I've never heard that its a standard procedure at insane asylums to rank the inmates so Judy and I decline to participate.

We are, however, delighted to see that you are rested and feeling good enough to be posting again and organizing Snapfish photos and now even have enough excess energy to be trying to stir up trouble instead of whining about Missouri "hills".

Also glad to hear you have a guide to the byways on the homestretch. That should help you enjoy the rest of the adventure. Have fun at the Shopoff steakhouse now that you have such a selection of restaurants to compare it to. Hopefully its better than the Hotel Nevada.
