Red Canyon and Bryce Canyon

The red one is Red Canyon. We left Panguich this morning in cool weather and rode through a long canyon of eroded red sandstone on the way to Bryce Canyon. A quick stop for breakfast at Hogi Yogi (I think I have that right) and then rode O'Hare's truck into Bryce Canyon (all free on my Golden Age Passport). Bryce was spectacular, even though it was beginning to rain and it was lacking the promised endless vistas. The eroded canyons filled with hoodoos of all shapes, arches, windows in the rock, groves of spruce among the hoodoos looking like fantasy castles. It was the single most dramatic thing we have seen to date on this trip. Judy O'Hare and I are looking over the vista in the last picture.
